SERVE was established in 2004 to promote philanthropic activities and bring about inclusiveness of all in the development process. The following actions are promoted by the organization:
Focus on school education, infrastructure development in the schools, provisioning of better tools and equipments for school students etc. Supporting vocational skills development and provisioning of opportunities for acquiring specialized practical skills and exposure to domain knowledge
Focus on women livelihood generation activities viz. Hand-block printing, tie-n-dye, textile processing, hand-embroideries and other value adding activities
Work towards environment conservation activities viz. Plantation, water conservation, soil erosion control, organic farming propagation
Block printing is the main source of income for women working from home in the cluster of Bagru, Jaipur.
Workshop on Community strengthening was held in 5 November 2023 at Ram Ganj, Jaipur with almost 35 women was held on the topic of Social transformation and economic empowerment of women artisans
SERVE appreciated the dedication of women in the field of block printing and natural dyeing of textiles for many years in the cluster on 8th March at Bagru on the occasion of Women’s Day.
Workshop on Design thinking was held on 12 December 2023 at Ram Ganj, Jaipur and nearly 50 women participated in the training.
A workshop was held on financial literacy in February 2024 at Kaladera, Jaipur a cluster of hand block textile printing and 50 women were trained.
A plantation drive was initiated under SERVE at Mundota village, Jaipur district where nearly 200 trees of Moringa were planted so as to bring medicinal plantation and support afforestation in dry lands.
